Home

Early in my ministry I was troubled by the number of students who in my youth group were not consistently reading their Bible. There is a recurring connection between spiritually rebellious and apathetic students and students who spend the least amount of time reading the Word of God.  It is clear to me that students can not be in His will if they are not in His word.

The same realities hold true for the great majority of the Body of Christ. The evidence is deacons, senior adults, parents, married couples, families, students, children, and pastors, are reading the Word of God less and less.

The greatest program, the greatest facility, the greatest sermon will never be able to circumvent the need for us to know the actual words of God. “Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him.” 1 John chapter 2 verse 3-5. We cannot be in the Will of God, without the Word of God!
